Pailan World School benefited by GreenTech

GreenTech implements Solar Water Heating System for Pailan World School

Kolkata, March 2012: Pailan World School is a Rs. 100-crore project, sprawling over 40 acres. The internationally acclaimed GEMS Ltd (UK) and Westfields Sports School (Sydney, Australia) are consulting partners to Pailan World School where primary day-boarding academic sessions were formally launched six years ago. Gradually they have been adapting themselves to the procedures of going green. As a measure to fall in line with the global environmental trends, the school has shifted their preference to a great extent towards utilizing solar energy.

The GSTRL team has recently installed a 2500 LPD Solar Hot Water System (SWHS) at Pailan World School. This system produces hot water for their residential canteen. Pre-heated hot water is used for cooking, cleaning and washing.

Mr. Pradip Paul, the Director-Commercial of GreenTech says, “Our solar water heating system has helped PWS in reducing LPG consumption to a great extent”.

Previously their consumption was 7 LPG cylinders per day and now the consumption has reduced to 2.5 per day. This was made possible due to the utilization and harnessing of solar energy with the GSTRL as their solution provider. It can be seen that a conservation of 65% of fossil fuel has been made possible by this venture taken up by Pailan World School.
